We were so blessed to have STV Mission Team Crossroads North River from Ohio and the Buck family from Indiana spending time with us this summer. Here's a look at what we've accomplished together.
A trip to the DR can take many forms and our ministry teams will use their skills however and wherever God calls them!
What an honor to be the Church, "taking church" to the Elderly Care Home “Casa de Gracia” in our community. We sang beautiful hymns of worship together, Pastor Paulo shared an encouraging Word, and we prayed over the patients there.
We were also able to take God's Word to the Santiago Children's Hospital, Theresa shared in the "Mama Canguro" program for mothers of preemies, and she also held a conference for nursing students at the National Evangelical University UNEV.
Meantime, there was work to be done at Hacienda Esperanza also, so several members of the team helped to complete several projects there.
We also served at the orphanage, Heart of Jesus Children’s Home in La Barranquita, Santiago and had an amazing time of worship and the Word at ICC - International Christian Church, Steve and Wendy led a CPR training after church, followed by a farewell treat of BON ice cream!
BEST OF ALL: Steve and his son, Easton, and Odly’s brother, Kòlo, were baptized at Hacienda Esperanza! Thanks be to our Lord and Savior! This team pushed through extremely hot days with great attitudes and servant’s hearts. Every day we saw God’s love in action and Jesus glorified!
